Yesterday, I discussed drones being
used in the Dolce & Gabbana handbag collection show.
But what about the line’s actual
clothing show? Did that feature models or drones?
I’m happy to report that the show
featured fully human models. No robot replacements here.
Some standout pieces from the show
included a dusty blush pink coat, which swept past the calves, that featured royal-looking
floral embroidery in shades of yellow, blue and pink.
The look was paired with a white
button-up top with a white bow-tie, fishnet stockings and yellow, patterned
pants.
The look featured large “LOVE”
sunglasses in hues of red and pink. The “L” and “E” both stuck out past the
model’s ears, giving her a cartoonish look.
The cartoon continued with the
purposely poorly done pink wig thrown atop the model’s head.
The wig featured a blush pink that
matched the coat, ringlet curls and jewel-toned floral accessories clipped in
at the front of the head.
Another piece showcased a red, flamenco-style
dress with huge layers and ruffles throughout.
The dress’s voluminous sleeves,
billowed from the model’s shoulders, while the neckline puffed out in the same
manner.
The model wore a pile of gold jewelry
and a red flower in her slicked pack bun to compliment the look and enhance the
flamenco-style of the dress.
But did we miss the drones?
Hardly. While there is shock value
in floating handbags, there is no true replacement for a living, breathing
model.
