A Color for Everyone?

So, fashion magazines are reporting
that there is a Spring color trend that looks good on everyone. But is this
true?
Magazines and online fashion news
outlets are saying that blush pink is the color of the season and the color
that will suit any skin tone.
But, as a pale woman, I know the
horror of putting on a light pink dress and looking like Patrick Star come to
life.
There is a huge aspect of this that
is important to remember: undertones.
If a dress is nudey blush pink, it
will almost certainly blend in with any pale princess’s skin tone.
However, paying attention to the
undertones in your skin will be tremendously helpful.
If you have yellow or olive
undertones to your skin, it would not be wise to pick a more yellow-toned blush
pink.
I have a neutral skin tone so many
neutral blush pinks blend right in and make me look almost naked.
Blue-toned blush pinks tend to be a
safer choice because even if your undertone is cooler, the pink tends to be
brighter and look less flesh-toned.
It’s all about personal preference,
of course. Maybe you like the idea of a dress making you look like you aren’t
wearing clothes at first glance or maybe not.
Trial and error is really the only
way to figure out which blush pinks are safe, and which are best left alone.
